I decided to transition in my career and add coaching and consulting after having helped many clients therapeutically since 2007. I thoroughly enjoyed working with my therapy clients, but I identified several barriers to helping individuals just like you move past certain obstacles. Traditional therapy has its place, but there are limitations and constraints that can become barriers to long term healing.

What I found is that many women would benefit from therapy, would reduce the trauma and shame in their lives, were incredibly high functioning, but wanted and needed more. They started wanting more education on sex after divorce, building intimacy with their spouse, increasing trust after an affair, and many other topics that fall outside of the realm of therapy and that aren’t covered by insurance. They no longer needed my clinical services, but they did need something different to continue their journey.

This is when I decided to shift gears in my business and start offering Laura Symon Coaching and Consulting Services to women just like you!

Something else that became equally apparent was that most of my clients weren’t putting the proper nutrients in their bodies, they were anxious and depressed, and would’ve benefited greatly from the use of holistic practices in their daily lives. Their stress hormones were driving their physiology, and I knew that this piece of the puzzle was keeping many of them stuck in the same patterns which also negatively affected their sex life. This had to change!

I helped them change, and I can help you too. But, why me? Why now? There are as many coaches as there are clinical therapists. In picking a coach, there has to be connection, resonance, skills and training, and gentle challenging for healing and growth to occur.

The thing that sets me apart from other consultants and life coaches is that I HAVE BEEN WHERE YOU ARE NOW and have the credentials to back up my work. As a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP) and someone who specializes in working with sexually compulsive behaviors (CSAT), I can help move you through being “stuck” into growth and happiness without the confines of traditional talk therapy.
